I just enjoyed a delicious Jerk Chicken Salad at the MoBay Grill in Sebastian/Roseland. Owner Wesley and his staff did a fantastic job. I attended the Sebastian Networking Luncheon there with Rhett Palmer.
It was great to have the opportunity to meet and hang out with some of the sharpest business people in our area. Everything we are created to be is about building relationships (ie: community). It is when we are in a healthy community of relationships that we experience better emotional, physical and spiritual health. Relational businesspeople are more profitable because of this. I look forward to attending next month!

Tonight after dinner, the boys and I headed to the library and then to Publix while mommy was on her way to a scrapbooking party. As the three of us rolled out of Publix in our race car shopping cart, a random man approached me and asked if he could take a picture of us.

Rick Warren, author of “Purpose Driven Like” will be speaking tomorrow afternoon.

If God has something great planned for me why all the roadblocks?
A while back, I was reading the story of David. You know, the guy who killed a giant named Goliath with just a sling and a stone. This David was selected by God to become a great leader of his country. However, in 1 Samuel 18-20 things aren't going so well - at least from my point of view. Saul is practicing his moving target spearing skills on David's head. Fortunately for David, Saul was having an off day.

After hearing a single grandmother caring for five of her grandchildren needed materials to build an additional room for her 2 bedroom home. Every item was donated and just one week later, the room was built! Thanks for your generosity!
This video has been moved to the videos section.

Hey People,
Was that service awesome or what? I was deeply moved by the service this past Sunday. The Spirit of God was working in my heart as those around me worshiped God at the top of their lungs. Through tears and smiles many cried out to Him in song and in prayer. There is something deeply human about moments like these. I felt as though we were fulfilling the deepest sense of what it means to be human. We came together bringing everything that was in our hearts into that room... our joy and our sorrow... our victories and our failures- all the things that make us real-without pretending. We were one in life and in faith and God moved among us.
After the service, I could hear people sharing with one another how the testimonies and music had refreshed them. I have one more testimony to add:
As you saw from the video, we wanted to help Nicki Nelson with materials for an additional bedroom. Nicki is caring for five of her grandchildren in a 2 bedroom home. A contractor has agreed to build an additional room at no cost. I included a list of materials needed in the video. I received a phone call Sunday night that Nicki came home Sunday afternoon to find every item on the list at her doorstep! Thanks to whomever the gracious donor was!
Here's the video:

My annual New Year's resolution is to keep up with my workout routine and not eat so much junk food. My wife likes to give me a hard time because it rarely lasts through the month of January. An additional resolution this year is to keep my resolutions. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? What are your resolutions this year? I'm interested to see your comments.
This Sunday, we'll be taking a look at Zacchaeus and his radical transformation.

Nicki is a grandmother in our congregation who is caring for her five grandchildren. Her newest grandchild, baby Taylor, was born addicted to crack. Thanks to your prayer and generosity, baby Taylor came home healthy and with plenty of baby necessities.
There was only one thing missing- an extra safety-belt in their small car. Nicki could not safely transport her five grandchildren safely in one vehicle. We sent out a "long shot" of an Email to our small congregation list explaining the need. Three weeks later a family donated an eight passenger van to the church! We were able to pass this along to Nicki. She has asked that I share with all of you her gratitude. She is "in awe" at the generosity of her friends at Coastal and in the community. Thank You.
